| From the Where2sing.com forum: I think somebody asked the question what are the things you look forward to in a karaoke. Mine is always a good crowd. That's the reason why my song choices depend on the crowd. There are instances though where you really don't know how an audience will respond to a song. There was one gig around 5 years ago where one guy sang an absolutely brilliant rendition of 'Bed Of Roses' & got booed off (poor dude left without finishing the song). Then a drunken lad got up, slurred some Chisel song & got a friggin standing ovation. And then just a month ago on our regular Saturday haunt, the place was totally rocking with Adele, Cee Lo Green & a couple of well-done rock & roll numbers. When I learned that my friend (who's next in the queue) will be singing some lame Gladys Knight crap, I asked him to change it so as not to ruin the mood. He ignored me & sang & lo & behold, a couple of blokes who looked like bikies approached him, patted his back & gave him a big hug.
