| From the Where2sing.com forum: Its become my belief that the Venue is first and foremost in attracting patrons....its our jobs to keep as many of them there....and for as long as possible ...to drink/eat/gamble as much as possible within that time....until such time of course that it would appear they are about to vomit or become socially embarrassing or violent...LOL...then we expell them into the street to allow the passing public or the police deal with them...:-)
Fact is....it doesnt really matter how good the host is...how good the song choices are...whether the sound quality is great or acceptable
What does matter is.. Location..Where Friends are going...ATMOSPHERE..... and crowd....a good venue can make a poor Karaoke look good...likewise a poor/quiet venue can make a great karaoke look quite ordinary indeed
great Venue+ Great Host= oh what a night !!
poor venue+ poor host= sh*t night
great venue + poor host = acceptable to poor night in varying degrees
poor venue + great host = usually a poor night due to the factors of crowd/friends/atmosphere etc....but can be a great night if a good crowd arrives ...however these venues are rarely consistent and usually don't last
