From the Where2sing.com forum:

David: Seeing as you're very well versed on how Facebook works, I'm sure I don't need to go into the details about Facebook polls but for the benefit of those who are not well versed, I'll go into a little detail as to how they work.

Anyone can launch a poll, with as many or as few options as you like. You can open a poll on your own personal profile or on your business page. A personal poll comes up in the 'Newsfeed' of people in your friends list for them to answer while polls posted by a business page come up on the Newsfeed of people who have liked your page. Once someone votes, the poll and their answer are then posted onto their own wall, enabling everyone in their friends list to see the poll and vote, irrespective of whether that secondary person is a friend of the original poster or a fan of the original business. In this way, the poll becomes viral and enables people to vote who may never have had any prior interaction with the original poster or the business. It's important to note that the original poster or business has no control over where the poll goes, who's page it gets posted to and who votes on it.

Swanny: The number of votes has started to subside, meaning that we have likely reached the limit of the number of votes we will be getting on the poll (currently at 148 votes). Adding a new option now would represent a statistical bias implying that while few people vote for this option, it is unlikely to represent the true number of people who would have voted for it. This is of course true of all unspecified options however it is telling that while other options have been added by those participating in the poll and have been voted on, this option has not been added. Having said that, should the poll be repeated in the future, I will certainly add it as an option.
