From the Where2sing.com forum:

Could I throw into the equation that a singer turning up to a quiet room might expect to sing soon, but turning up to a packed room, and particularly if turning up later in the night, might reasonably expect a long wait?

I see the basis of LB's system as anyone who turns up any time should be able to sing, and I wonder whether this creates a more transient crowd and diminishes singer loyalty, or whether it results in a more varied and interesting set of performances that holds a larger (non-singing) crowd?
