I'd have to disagree David, singing without dramatisation/performance or an audience connection is going to be shyte regardless of how good the voice is. Every song is essentially a performance that tells a story or evokes a mood through all aspects of the performance from movement to voice. Yes, karaoke may substitute performance for lack of singing but this doesn't equate to singing being limited to voice without performance.
