Prizes could be raffled as well as autioned off as well as games such as throwing a gold coin at a bottle of sprit the closes wins the bottle musical chairs 1 or 2 dollars to enter the winner wins a bottle of wine or other prize. maybe I could get a music shop to donate say a mic or disc for a prize to aution off. It would be better to do this in a pub or club because they have all of the licences and public liability insurance as well as sound levels permits.Also the pub that I am thinking over can hold alot of people there say about 100 or more. First it was giong to be a Hall but with that it was to dear to have people being able to have a drink due to Laws a permit would cost to much and some people would like to be able to drink.The pub I am thinking of is quite a nice one and in modern with Lights and stage as well as food and so on.
Say if we charge 10-15 dollars to get in it may be better to only then charge a singer a gold coin per song and hope that they spend big on the games and auction areas of the night.
We need to also get sponsors to donate hopfully larger amounts if we can get newspaper coverage and put up there banners on the night.The venue is going to try and also get extra sponsers for us as well.
if we all say put 20 -50 dollars aside for the night and could get up 100 people to come that alone could raise up to 4000. dollars this is with door sales tickets songs games and donations. Then we could hope that maybe local business may donate as well.
It would be great to be able to raise 1000.-2000 and have a good night out meeting host and singers from all over Sydney and once we make this work we could give results and ideas to others states so say vic and queensland could do one as well if they wish to .
I feel that if we did one every 3 mths or so then we all could make it work well.
So whos in ???? I will start a list of the team that can help on this project.
We would also need a name for this group any ideas Eg. Maybe Song from the heart would let us use there name. or maybe something like CARE AOKE Singers .. LOL
Everyone here could suggest a name a we could vote on one to use.
In order to get the ball rolling we must work out a venue,Cause,Date,Sponsers,so we can begin to promote the night in the press to reach a wider base of people to come to the night.
