| From the Where2sing.com forum: g'day all, peter m i see you have not told of the sports club in altona then as it does not have karaoke any longer due to lack of interest, also the outlaws bar & grill in mildura is closed down (by police). now the country gig in vic that vocalpro is talking about is the hotel rex the police closed the hotel across the road indefinately and suspended the publicans licience and made everybody leave by 10.30 for having music above 60 decibels and the band was not impressed either, then the police came over to the hotel rex with decibel metre in hand told me to turn down until he was satisfied, while punters were singing i could speak normally at 83 decibels so imagine music at 60 decibels from ten feet away from my speaker box as the publican said he was sorry but there is nothing he could do due to the accord, you will find this accord in some erea's of melbourne and there is no entertainment in these erea's. the accord has been around for a few years now and is slowly increasing around victoria. just another way to close down hotels.
