Could it be that those who enjoy karaoke competitions are either not inclined to discuss much on this website because of 1. the forums are mainly host-driven in terms of topics or 2. an inherent bias by yourself and other hosts that mainly discuss topics on here that competitions are negative and any other opinion is considered not worthy?? The fact that karaoke competitions occur and are always full of contestants shows that people must enjoy being a part of them. There are those that enjoy social karaoke and those that enjoy karaoke competitions and those that enjoy both. There are those that cause issues at social karaoke and those that cause issues at competitions. There are those competitions that are run well and those that are not run well. There are those competitions that make good money for a venue and those that don't make money for a venue. I for one enjoy competitions and know that they will always be there in some form or another. I know of numerous persons that enjoy competitions. I would hope that there is always a place that gives information about competitions.
