Some of the hosts who have set up better rigs, when starting their karaoke business, have either been singers with a wide experience of gigs, or have spent time purposely going around other gigs to gain experience on what works, what doesn't, and then to decide for themselves what equipment would best suit them, and what style of hosting. I think it's a given that interaction between hosts is of great benefit to karaoke in general.
I think it's also not the place of W2S to determine whether hosts comment on other gigs, how public or private those comments should be, and indeed whether they should be positive or negative. Not least of all, each host has his own pain threshold...lol.
But I do think openness of information should be used to benefit us all - and so I'm still undecided by responses here as to whether it's generally thought, for the future and with the appropriate warning in place, that hosts posting in the Comments section of any gig other than their own should have a link to the list of their own gigs placed beside their nickname. On this specific issue, could I have a show of numbers please for yay or nay?
