| From the Where2sing.com forum: I'll bring it a little closer to hand. Obviously I have an opinion on many karaoke-related things. I express it freely, and am regularly challenged.
But as soon as it comes to opinions on karaoke comps, I'm told that I should be impartial as the webmaster. It seems as though many (obviously not all) those involved in comps extend their characteristics far beyond just performing.
So when it comes to something like KWC, I would say it's a good focal point for the industry. But I wonder, is it really? Or does it attract the wrong type of person, the one who will come to karaoke only as long as there's money to be had - and not the sort of person who's going to make up the numbers of social karaokers (W2Sers) in the years to come?
