| From the Where2sing.com forum: Once again with reading Peter.M ,Anthony , Karaokechic , it is a total fact that hosts must be flexible when it comes to hosts singing because every gig is different and has its own direction , some gigs need a host to have more of a singing input , some just need the host to sing at the start , sometimes by the host singing can change the direction of the evening ...ie.. pump the night up or bring/ settle the night down / cover a lack of good entertaining song being sung etc.. , there is not one formula that can be used for all gigs , so a host must be able to be flexible and also'' go with the flow'''' but always only sing if there is a mechanical reason for it , never to '' grand stand '' , folks can pick that up a'' mile away''
