| From the Where2sing.com forum: Had a Boxing Day party and at about 8pm started some karaoke singing fun , as there were a bout 5 young ones singing ( ages 8 to 10 ) and a few oldies , i thought we would get a good mix of old and new songs and we did BUT !! not the way i thought we would lol , the oldies were singing pretty new songs and the youngies were singing old 80's type stuff , i said to Wolfie mate can you see that there is something not Right about this , i mean Twilight zone type stuff , shouldn't it be the other way round ! , what does that say about modern music , is there a message in this somewhere , i mean when i was 10 yo( 1968 the year ) i would never have sung songs from the 40's ( although i do now ) , What the hell is going on lol .
