| From the Where2sing.com forum: I can see that this vein of inquiry is going nowhere fast. In my case I run the show but allow others to join in the fun, and seeing as i have been in the Karaoke business as both a Host(since the 90's) and as a punter ,i follow my own lead NOT how others think i should. I like the fact that some people have thought enough to have songs they like to sing in case i don't have them, to think that one can tell people that they cant bring their own discs, to me is a form of discrimination.And to say that we should not allow them to use those discs is unfair in the highest of degrees. But mind you i doubt if anyone can explain their reasons why to you when you obviously have a chip on your shoulder and refuse to understand anothers point of view. My credentials speak for themselves as quite a few successful hosts in both the Brisbane and Gold Coast areas started off singing at Venues that i worked hard at making a fun free and pleasant area where you could happily go to have a good night out, sing a few songs whether it be on my set or their own discs...I am the Hitman.
