| From the Where2sing.com forum: Interesting comments section ...RE..Wallacia Hotel NSW , now yes it can be disappointing when a host is starting out and it appears like they have many mountains to climb , so hey give them a go and sometimes its a beautiful thing in life is to watch someone progress and become Great , but what got my eyebrows raised is the fact that this person was unhappy that no music is played between songs , is it me or do others much prefer music between songs, i for one much much prefer an entertaining host with the '' Gift of the Gabb '' and i and many other host that i know never play music in between songs because we all have that Gift'''' , now the first rule in live entertainment is '''If you can't tell and deliver a joke DON'T ! and if you can't talk over a Mic ..DON'T !!! so what do you think ? ........I personally watch the floor (patrons ) and see what is happening ..ie like Bob spilt some drink on Jane or Harry almost tripped on Sue's handbag lying on the floor etc so anything that may take my eye or if i hear something or some old friends come in Whatever , I'll get some one liners in place or Ad lib the comments , but this takes a lot of practice and then being able to '' tell the story '' over the Mic, this is an Art'' in its self and not for everybody .
