I think subconsciously a lot of people are drawn to karaoke because of the sense of validation they receive but I doubt many people would recognise that this is the case and therefore any promotional copy that tried to harness that is unlikely to be successful.
It raises an interesting question: what is the number one thing that people look for at karaoke and how can you turn that into a slogan? When I was hosting, I often used the line 'we have your favourite song, sing it tonight' but there wasn't really any way to measure its impact.
