| From the Where2sing.com forum: Todays Boiling Point ...Yes i can fully understand this hosts anger and indeed i know a few hosts that would never approach a venue that is running a karaoke show with a view of cutting the grass of the current operator yet sure as night turns to day as soon as these few hosts i know get a venue which is not currently doing karaoke along comes other hosts with there normal ''Modus Operandi '' of going to the show , staying down the back of the room ,checking things out and then ASAP the management will start getting ''Mail '' with that MO hosts information and of course a much lower gig quote and all reasons why his / hers show is a lot better because they seem to '' Highlight '' the pitfalls of the current host , many of these MO hosts tell themselves that they are doing NO wrong and this is the way business should be run , yet these MO hosts never seem to do the '' hard yards '' of canvassing for these venues that are not running karaoke , they just seem to wait in the '' dark background '' until some host starts the karaoke off in the venue then like a snake '' slither in'' to try to undercut the hosts that has done all the Hard Work obtaining the venue and in many cases the hard slog of building it into a reasonable karaoke night, the MO hosts are hoping to capitalised on all that great work , this is not good business it is a Moguls business
