From the Where2sing.com forum:

Hi All , Now being a child of the 60's and a young man of the 70's , last night i decided to throw caution to the wind and do something different about my '' books'' situation , firstly my books badly need updating ,2nd i had my wife running 2nd chair and as she buys all the discs and songs , she is like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to knowing what songs are in our list 3rd we have a big list 20,000 plus songs and i gave up counting early last year 4th it was a private party .
So what i did instead of placing books and Pens around the room with little pieces of paper , i ask every one (on a few occasions ) to come and see my wife if they had a song they wished to sing ...NO books at all , just come and ask for a song , now most times my wife was able to say yes or no to a song but the very large percentage of songs asked for we did have , then she would take down the name of the song and the singer name and in between things go to our Laptop and do a quick search in our list and then just place the number next to the name which in turn is passed to me to get the disc ready , all except one song which was a song by '' Chad Morgan '' we had , and that person quickly picked another song which we had '' only 19 '' , this was very quick way of doing things , became great PR and everything run smoothly and there seemed to be No extra work involved in doing this.....Now keeping mind those 4 points and the fact we are great communicators do you think this could work in a pub / club ????
