| From the Where2sing.com forum: Many thanks for that, and I think your deductions are spot on as a second scan of the server found a provision to download a virus (but no virus file, probably previously deleted by the server's own malware protection) in the event that a requested photo could not be found. Therefore I've removed that '404' file, and you should get no more alerts - it seems as though Malwarebytes is sensitive enough that it detects even a sniff leading to a virus even if there's no virus file, a mighty smart idea, in my book.
I also checked Google to see if it had detected a virus on W2S, as that's often the definitive check - it didn't have W2S listed as a threat.
As for the photos, those displayed on the front page are drawn from the available photos on the server, guaranteeing that those requested will be found and that the '404 document not found' page (even if it existed) would not be served. The reason I coded this way was because people upload those photos and some may include viruses, and even though uploaded photos are held in a directory not accessed by website visitors, and two derivative photos (one thumbnail and one normal size) are produced from the original file (and watermarked) and created in two other directories which are accessed by website visitors - and thus should be immune from having virus files created in those directories.
If anyone does get some alert for virus, trojan or malware on W2S, please do let me know, and if possible which page you were on at the time as this allows me to review the code for that page in case I can tighten it to prevent such malicious files getting into that server directory.
