| From the Where2sing.com forum: 2012 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST
Sweden had won the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with their song 'Euphoria', performed by Loreen. She was UK Bookie Ladbrokes' favourite to win the show, which was broadcast live from the Crystal Hall in Baku, Azerbaijan (last night).
Despite being tipped to do well, the UK's entry, 76-year-old Engelbert Humperdinck, came second from last, only ahead of Norway.
Footnote (1): Sorry SBS, but a Eurovision Song Contest without Terry Wogan's commentary is just ain't right!
Footnote (2): And Engerlbert? Gotta admire that 76YO, he STILL has the voice and the range and can still hold the high notes well - I guess he'll be in the minority of ageing artists who can still perform live all their hit songs at their original keys!!
