Yes, it can be the host's fault if a song is out of sync, especially if they're using a computer setup with mp3+g or zip files. This is why most computer software provides lyric delay and advance settings to correct this. In this case, if it was computer, it would be the host's fault for not fully understanding the appropriate way to use his/her software.
