| From the Where2sing.com forum: Our Boiling Point friend , i can see where you are coming from but it all comes down to money , I remember one publican telling me after i had finished a show and i asked if he wanted another show and he said to me '''After i count the Till tonight ,if it had been ringing , you will be singing '' and that's about sums it all up , the more that Till rings the more chances for karaoke to be happening , perhaps you could get some friends together and hire a karaoke room so you can have the sort of karaoke experience you are trying to find.
but Pubs and venues must sell alcohol and as much as they can legally get away with , and some good and bad things come with that .
