| From the Where2sing.com forum: Mobile is certainly the future, and the future is very nearly the present. The essence in what you're saying, and indeed in what I agree with, is that the old concepts of websites and their functions is shifting considerably. W2S may need to be the system that hosts run, the information from which compiles in a distribution database feeding mobile devices - at present, listing are something that people keep up as an extra to the gig, but if venues booked into a database, this database would know the gig before even the host. If hosts' song collection was 'in the cloud', or at least had come through a database, the host's songlist would be known - or perhaps with an full 'on demand' system every host's songlist would be the total of songs available and therefore of no issue.
Maybe a great idea to have a stab at where we would like karaoke to be, or where we think it will be and look like, in ten or twenty years from now.
