Ok, so there is an important difference between a CD+G disc and a VCD when it comes to playback and it has to do with how the content is burned to a disc and in turn, how that content is read by the machine designed to read it. This means that using a CD ripping program designed for CD+Gs won't necessarily work for VCDs. Do a search for 'ultimate vcd ripper cnet', it should be the first search result, that should fix you up. There is a way to find the content manually on the disc but its a bit technical...
