Recently I was at a venue and a singer sang a song with lyrics that was written by the singer and was displayed on the screen that the audience could view, the backing music however was that of a popular song (not recent). Wouldn't this be in violation of copywrite laws and wouldn't the operator and venue be liable for playing the content.
