Hi All and I hope every one has had a safe and wonderful Christmas and New Year eve and here's hoping that you all have a profitable , exciting and adventurous 2013 .
Well folks my wife and I went to Wolfies NYE karaoke party at Lake Boga Vic (please Google the town to see why it is a fantastic little town and see where the pub is ) which is 360kms total return trip from where i live so we got home at 3.30am , great night out ,wonderful people there , i started the night off with 2 country Ballads...''The Dance & The River '' both songs are by Garth Brooks , an artist i have really been getting into lately but from then on it was up-tempo songs such as '' Love is in the Air '' and ''Little Sister '' , i did a couple of duets with a lady from Melbourne '''summer nights '' and '''don't go breaking my heart ''' , i finished the night of with '''Losing my Religion '' the REM classic , so i think i did a good mix of songs and they all went over well with the folks there as there was plenty of applause for not only me but for all singers there .
But really i think the most applause should go to Wolfie as he had a very stressful night and was happy when it came to the end WHY??? well what could go wrong did go wrong , when we got there Wolfie was lending over his equipment sweating and swearing , firstly one speaker would not work then one channel on his Power Amp died and as we were checking the system together the whole system died but i quickly sorted that out by changing over the power board , still no sound from left speaker somehow the speaker died and the left channel died at the same time ( perhaps a power surge ) we basically pulled the system down added new leads etc but no luck , Wolfie was getting very agro by this stage so we had to use the Fold back as a speaker position directly under the speaker that was working to give a more '' round sound ', this did the trick to get the show through the night , sound was OK but hey for karaoke we all know it must be stereo but it got the show through till the end but wait there is more ! as the night went on a very rapid crackling noise started sounding in the speaker that was working we tried to suss it out but we could do no more than '' cross our fingers '' and hope that the speaker would make it to the end and it did even though the noise was getting louder as the night went on so Wolfies singing was spot on and he continued with the show like the PRO he is as his hosting was very good .
Wolfie is coming over to my place today and we will go right over his system using my system to test his equipment but i think he is up for some big dough in replacing some gear .......but good on ya Wolfie it was still a great night of karaoke .
I will be placing some Video's of us singing at the show later today so keep an eye open for my FB , i don't know how they will turn out because of sound and there is a lot of flashing lights around the stage area .
