| From the Where2sing.com forum: wannabe ....Its more a karaoke thing because being behind the speakers where the singers are you are more in control , not only with taking care of your Mics and equipment but also to lend a hand with singing if needs must but also encouragement and such forth but once again it comes down to what speakers you have , i would say that Wolfie may have to consider ( where available ) to be out front of his speakers but last night he did walk out to hear the sound yet that must continue doing this all the time and not become lazy or set up out front where as with speakers like my Operas i can if must place a speaker behind ( or near as ) the singer and know there will be No feed back at all or turn one of the speakers towards the stage (if needs must ) so i have never needed to use foldback and the sound on stage is like out in the room and this helps no end with peoples singing as they hear themselves crystal clear , some do get frighten when they hear there singing some times so clearly for the first time lol
