| From the Where2sing.com forum: L/B .....Seriously , I dare say that many singers out there think that being a karaoke host is the knees bee's as they all have '' stars in there eyes '' and also think that hosting looks as easy as pie ,They have no idea to what goes on '' behind the scenes ''' only when they take the leap and get some equipment and then do they learn , I've have seen heaps do with this over the years , many fail but some achieve there dream my simple advise is to .....spend time to educate yourself ,not only on a sound course but your stage performing abilities , do a Drama course which hopefully will open up your imagination , speak to as many hosts as possible to find the real pitfalls , have a Business plan ! and please BUY SMART when getting your equipment and never under cut a fellow host because believe me '''What goes around, Comes around '' ...........So no new karaoke host needs to be concern about our postings ,just follow above procedure and you will be all right .
