| From the Where2sing.com forum: Theres that ''Old School '' term again ! which is a passive negative term meaning they were good in there day but hey its not up to whats around now which is wrong because as Rovics tells as if you have a integrated passive system and is of good to better standard in quality there is no reason not to use a passive system if that is what you like to use , so to use ''old school '' means an outdated method and its is not ...........Like the guitar or Piano or any instruments they are only as good as the human player , I've heard a Fender guitar sound like $25 kmart guitar and I've heard a $25 kmart guitar played by a great player that brought tears to my eyes ....... so it is more important to buy what suits You best over all .
