| From the Where2sing.com forum: Sorry guys i have been a lil bit busy up here in Bundaberg,both of my venues have gone under the Flood waters and am playing the waiting game until i can start working again( its either that or pack the gear up and take over Brisbane with my top notch system)i now though wade into the conversation regarding Sound..In my Oz days i had to deal with what i was given and be happy that i was doing it in the first place...Nowadays though i use my Passive speaker system,with which i use my laptop and 2 players. I don't really like Active speakers as a wayward flying drink can short the system(i've seen it happen Vic ) and yes i am old school, a lot of the Karaoke hosts in Brisbane and the gold coast at one time or another walked through the door at one of the many venues i worked during my 2 tenures at OZ Karaoke. My System takes anything up to 3 hours to set up ,but when the lights go out and the lasers and spotlights ( yes i still use par cans) make every other karaoke business in my area look and sound flat ( but i have 2 active speakers for foldback wedges lol) now if you'll excuse me i have some clean up work to get back to...
