From the Where2sing.com forum:

I think its great when singers bring their own disks...tho admittedly if too many singers bring their own disks it can get very confusing for the operator having to keep track of them all....fortunately it doesnt happen very often ....and indeed if a singer feels comfortable singing a particular version of a song who am I to say they cannot?......after all they are my customers and in the scheme of the night it makes little difference to the overall show.

Very often they bring versions of songs we already have ..and after pointing that out to them they feel very comfortable in the fact that they can come back the following week and find their version of a particular song in our collection.Lets face it..for many singers ....particularly new and slightly nervous ones....if they are going to all the trouble to come to your venue....prepared to take themselves out of their comfort zone up on stage and sing......if it gives them the confidence in knowing that at least they are singing a song that they have probably practised to death at home..then thats great!

I remember my first time on stage ....I am certain you could hear my knees knocking!!...It wasnt until I was able to practise songs at home that I started to gain the confidence needed to get up on stage and if the song I was singing just happened to be slightly different or have a different Tempo or Key..I would lose it !!.

I originally needed at least 10 beers to even think about getting up to sing a song..that amount of alcohol gradually diminished over the weeks.....and after 4 years ? a glass of water is fine.....tho I still dont mind a beer........ or 2..LOL
