| From the Where2sing.com forum: Mic Rophone.....Congratulations , once again for all the hard work you've been doing to make this 'Care aoke' night happen , & well done to everyone whose lent support , & given Mic a hand . To everyone who wants to help , now is the time to start thinking of how you can do your bit to help raise funds. We all see this as a fundraiser 'on the night' but to ensure it is a real success, some groundwork prior to the night will be extremely helpful. Most of us work for some one , (yes,our REAL jobs) , & maybe we could approach our Boss to make a donation , reminding him/her that the night will offer good advertising through the local paper , & this web site & the local member , etc.
Mic , do you know if there is a specific fund name that a business could write a cheque to ? My boss said he would make a donation ,' just find out who I make the cheque out to '. This gives people/business the confidence that the money is going to a genuine charity. I'm still not sure whether I'll be able to make it on the evening , but I have a comittment of $250 that's sure to help .
