| From the Where2sing.com forum: LIVE BAND KARAOKE : Shazzy, Sammo of Malaya is putting something similar on, starting this Thursday night. He is calling it 'Footloose 80s' and billing it as 'Malaya's Bringing On Back The Good Times', featuring a 5-piece band playing 60s, 70s and 80s retro stuff. $35 per person includes a 5-course meal. The band, Mr Meaner performs, then patrons put up requests for the band to play, or for themselves to sing ... Night is for singles, couples, etc. But the night will not suit people who do not wish to spend for their entertainment ... which is why Sammo is not marketing it to regular karaoke goers ... but only to people who appreciate a good night out, and who don't mind paying appropriately.
