I too noticed Rob's post and feel that it is not necessarily a case of reality, but perception of reality. It's like when a reporter writes a story about a company that he/she has shares in. One would like to think their integrity means that they will be unbiased, but if something negative is written, the shares might drop which would financially hurt the reporter. So is that crisp, glowing story about the company justified, or is it tainted by the desire to protect your investment.
Same with writing about a show your husband runs. Would you really write a scathing review of one of his gigs, even if it meant he might lose it? I don't think you would, nor would I in that circumstance. That's why many of us wouldn't write anything at all.
In this case, it's 'If you can't say something nasty, don't say anything at all...' lol
