Hi all again.
Well, I'm finally subscribing!! Hence my return as I was feeling like a bit of a freeloader by not doing so before. Unfortunately, not being a credit card user, it's gonna take a few days for the darn thing to go through according to the PayPal site. Of all the weekends to subscribe, I had to choose the Easter one!
However, since the money's in the works and I'll not be able to access the gig guide till next week, does anyone recommend a current (April 06) Saturday night gig in the North Sydney area? A friend's coming up from Canberra and it will be our first time of seeing each other since we competed in the 2004 Wintersun grand final so kinda looking forward to it and since she is apparently meeting a friend in North Sydney, she requested a karaoke in the area. I PROMISE the money's being processed. The funds just first have to make it from my bank account to my PayPal account. This is the first time I got the darn thing to work without web server problems at either site or glitches with the system causing requests for credit card details and ruddy internet banking wants me to APPLY for the right to send my money somewhere and then POST me the permission to do so!! No time for all that!! Need the info for tomorrow, dagnabbit!! But STILL it's gonna take 3 - 4 WORKING days to process! So yeah, help a brother out, would ya (re a current [April '06], Saturday night, North Sydney gig)? Pretty please with sugar/cream/cherries on top? Thanks.

Hey!! Picking on me AGAIN, girl? Wasn't it also you I saw quoted in one of the newsletter's saying after a long post that SOMEONE had to take my place? Ay ay ay.... I know. You just missed me but honestly, when will you ladies learn that picking me up at karaoke is the go and not on the forum... - and even then, it's 'iffy.' Tsk!

No probs re the Bristol Arms recommendation. I'm surprised so many were tempted to check it out based on just my word. In my best Yoda voice: 'Flattered, I am. Yes....Mmmm.'
Mind you, what if I've JINXED IT??? What if Craig(?) was only a temporary host there for one night only and we all turn up and find it's some loser running it instead? Shudder.... Fingers crossed, eh? I don't know if it's on this Saturday either, so make sure you call the club first! If it's not on, maybe you can join Natalia (the Canberra girl) and me at a volunteered North Sydney area gig instead?
I'll be at Chatswood RSL's karaoke tonight if anyone knows a North Sydney gig but doesn't want to post details here. I can't understand how someone had a bad night at Chatty unless it was one of those atrociously slow evenings that sometimes can happen even at the best of gigs but I expect you've all already discussed that topic in my absence so I'll leave it alone.

G'day mate. Long time no hear. But I have heard tell of your Ryde gig. I shall have to check it out at some point as THAT's relatively easy for me to get to and back from compared with your other gigs. Anyway, I don't recall which company Craig(?) was with but I still reckon he was a top bloke. Likeable larrikin with great talent is how I'd describe him. As I said, plenty of mistakes happened but he was just so darned forgivable for some reason - and usually, I HATE such delays as wrong songs being inserted, especially when frequently but it just didn't matter with this guy. That's a GIFT, that is! He covered the mistakes pretty well effortlessly which I think is just as much on professional par as the person who never makes a mistake.
