I love the where2sing site my name is Georgina Ward and I Love Karaoke to the MAX!!
I love going to my local pubs to have a sing and love Karaoke parties. I am based in Melbourne. I have brought to Australia the latest in Karaoke home entertainment system. It is called the On Key Karaoke. The best thing about it is the fact it just plugs into my TV AV and I can down load up to 2,000 songs onto the microphone off the internet. I hire mine out to my friends and families and work mates, they find it so easy to use and I make a profit out of it! The units are only $249.00 inc gst

Many thanks for the info about the OnKey Karaoke microphone system, and for visiting the new website.
I've had a look at your webpage, and am interested to see that the machine comes with just 50 initial songs (and a voucher for downloading 10 more) included in its $249 price - which makes it an expensive alternative to a DVD player, mic, and a few discs. Do you think there is going to be a market for this amongst W2S people, or is this more the sort of thing people would give their children at Christmas?
I listened to some of the song samples on the database - they sound very much like MIDI files rather than the quality of backing most W2S people would seek, and which are available on normal karaoke discs?
I also noticed that the supplier's Canadian website made a point of mentioning that licensing fees for the music are paid in that country, and since I didn't notice the same on your website, I wonder what the licencing position is in Australia, and whether you pay fees to AMCOS or APRA for the songs supplied with the microphone, or indeed for those downloaded from your Australian website?
If you have a test machine, I'd be happy for this to be tested by a couple of W2S Roving Reporters for the purpose of a W2S review...
