I'm busy working too, girl but fortunately as a song writer, I'm free to multi task and click the refresh button now and then. It isn't hard to do. Helps if you type quickly too though I suppose.
I lived in Queensland the first half of my life but the people too xenophobic and insular in their thinking for my liking - as showcased by your comments - were a good reason to make the shift to what you all know up there as 'the BIG smoke' (Sydney). Again, you show how limited your imagination must be to not think about that possiblity for anyone posting here as you make your sweeping generalizations of what makes up the where2sing community.
I'm so sorry you feel the need to justify yourself to the world but can only do so with witless remarks. May you some day build up an actual persona instead of taking refuge behind anger and resentment - especially over something so trivial as a review posted to a website of all things! (Not to knock it David but 'tis true that it hardly rates as the most popular news site in the world or anything). How sad your life must be, Gold Coast Girl, to make you so antagonistic.
So, Gold Coast Girl, may you overcome your fragile temperament and realize that even if David's review did sway anyone's opinions of a venue they've yet to visit, odds are those people would not have made up the majority of the crowd, aren't they? Professional critics write reviews all the time. Does it stop the majority of people from attending the cinemas? The theatres? The live music venues? Hell, no! If it did, they'd either start writing rave reviews about everywhere or run the risk of making themselves redundant for as an entertainer, you must be aware that most acts are mediocre or worse and only a few shine. Such is the way of things. Same principle regarding critiques applies to karaoke venues. We're all free to make up our own minds and 'I pity the fool' who chooses to accept someone else's opinion as their own without first investigating the facts for themselves.
Now Gold Coast Girl...I want you to breathe (though I have the strong suspicion many DON'T lol). Just contemplate for a moment what it is you're allowing yourself to get so worked up over. Is it really SO important? Will world peace fail should you not decide to give up this pointless bickering? Will the sun go super nova unless you spout your remarks with such vehemence? Take a chill pill, girl. In a century or two, I guarantee no one will give two hoots about all this. Keep it in perspective, woman. It'll be alright.
