| From the Where2sing.com forum: I wasn't going to buy into the major topic of debate of late, but GoldCoastGirl's last post got my blood boiling. More accomplished hosts than myself have let her have it with both barrells, and deservedly so. She was shot down in flames more times than all the planes in the Battle of Britain.....well.....almost ......... and I applaud every host and singer in here that took aim.
The so called 'idiots' on this site, have showed there TRUE COLOURS, in the amazing job done at Careoke at Eastern Creek Tavern, Sydney recently, raising over $4,200 for a girl with a severe medical disability and her family who are in great need.
ALL the work, the selfless work, the tireless work, that these people did, SPEAKS for them in no uncertain terms. For 'actions' speak louder than words. These people you attack are good, honest, caring people, who share one common bond, we LOVE karaoke.
I'm no IT expert, but I am sure David (W2S) spent hours and hours working on the advertising promoting this event on the Main Web Page, giving of himself once again, not to mention the prizes he donated. It may surprise you GCG, but all the people you ridicule here went out of there way to support that night, that shows me more than anything else what type of people they are.
Finally, your last phrase and I quote: 'And while you lot are still sitting here typing away at each other we are actually working !'
How dare you. One no longer faceless man, Mic Rophone(NSW), sat at his computer typing for hours and hours and hours to make it happen. PLUS, he held down a full time job involving increased working hours. Perhaps he was even typing in his sleep. There are plenty of others here too on this site, that work, go to karaoke and type in the forums, achieving a nice balance in there lives.
