From the Where2sing.com forum:

Hi David and Kev

I csan see both points of view here. However I think Kev has a good idea with 'casual users' of the site. There are people who sometimes only want to access say the gig listings for a short period of time, say a week or a month and that is it, they just drop out of sight never to be heard of again. David has said that it is difficult to define a 'casual user' as the site is visited by e-mail addresses. David, do you keep a record of these e-mail addresses? I know of some people who only want to use the sight on a casual basis, they are not wanting to access the website on a daily basis, so they ring me and ask me to find out information for them as they know I subscribe to the site. There are people who might only want to look up a gig listing for another state as they might be going on holidays, and it is a 'one time' thing. I suppose there are a lot of reasons why some people who come onto the forum are not subscribers. Maybe you should put the question to these people? Would they be prepared to pay for a casual rate for a month to be able to access the other areas of the web site. If so, what would these people be prepared to pay for a one month casual subscription? I know that the price that is paid by the subscribers is not an expensive one, but some people are not prepared to part with credit card details over the Internet no matter how secure the web site is. This is a subject that could go on and on and on. So how about some of the non-subscribers coming back to us with the reasons why they don't subscribe to the website? Could make for some interesting reading.

Roz.
