This question was raised quite a while back.
If you have a second player you can also utilize it for music between singers.
With my set up I always have 2 players and sometimes a 3rd player (which also acts as a small monitor for the host) available for the night.
Not only should a Host have a back up player but should they should also have back up leads such as AV, Speaker, Microphone and Power leads.
And last but not least back up Microphones.
The only thing I don’t carry as a back up is my Amp/Mixer.
Jason by the way I tried out the old fashion method of recording singers by Tape on Wednesday night.
Getting it onto my laptop was a little bit more tricker.
I ended up running the tape though the DVD Recorder and recording it as a DVD then played it on my computer and then converted it to wave and finally used Cool Edit to do the final touches.
So I’m back in business until I can get My Machine fixed.
The Quality of the sound is not too bad considering its journey though it’s many phases of recording.
