See, I don't think it's about how cheap it is to other things we buy and take for granted, it's about how much it is compared to how much we would use it. I use w2s a lot (as you would no doubt know), so it represents enormous value to me and I have no problem paying subscription. But compare the issue of price of subscription to this hypothetical pizza eater (thanks for the idea)

I have recently found out though, that through certain outlets, I can purchase personal-sized pizzas, pizzas that are at least half size, maybe even a third the size. I have since refound my love of pizza because now I am able to only buy how much I can consume on the odd occassions that I choose to indulge and I know that I am only paying for what I need... '
I hope this clarifies my views on shorter term subscriptions.
