| From the Where2sing.com forum: Raven.....I'm fully aware how competitive this industry has become. there are so many 'semi-professionals'....part-timers doing gigs nowadays , it's increasingly difficult to make a genuine living out of Karaoke. But out of all the expenses you've listed , subscription to W2S is so cheap it barely rates as an expense. Answer me these....Are you a smoker ? Do you ever slot the odd $10 (or $20,$50) note into a poker machine ? Do you sometimes stop on the way home to buy a scratchie ?
This web site is an industry tool....used wisely , you should be able to get back your $70 investment 10, 20 or 50 times(or more)over. It's just a matter of how you use it
Also.....if you're really paying 60 cents in the dollar tax (is there a bracket so high in this country ?)..........
1.You're earning so much, you can EASILY afford W2S
2.You need more deductions....(try subscription to W2S....it's cheap !!)
3.You DEFINITELY need a new accountant .....!!!
I'll definitely try & call in for a sing when I'm down there....'though if I make it in 40 minutes , I'll be very lucky if I don't get a speeding fine (about 3.5 years sub. to W2S) ......I fail to see , from any angle , how anyone involved in this industry(including [serious] singers) could see this site as anything but extremely good value
