From the Where2sing.com forum:

Hi Kev

I appreciate your sense of humour, it has not been the best of days believe me!! I am getting over the flu, went to karaoke last night.(probably shouldn't have, but did not want to spend another night on my own, Saturday night was bad enough with an Asthma attack and tearing a fingernail just about out of the nail bed whilst trying to get some fresh air!!) I tried to sing a couple of songs on Sunday night, didn't do too bad, didn't try anything difficult, just 'See ya later alligator' and 'penny arcade'. Two of my favourites.

The reason I said what I said on this forum earlier on tonight is that I don't want to be bought into disputes, arguments or anything else that can be deemed unfriendly. I don't want to be a part of anything that is old history between 'Mic Rophone' and 'Houndog'. As most people on this forum know, Mick (hubby) works for 'Houndog' - I don't. 'Houndog' and I have had our disagreements, and there have been a few of them, but I respect him as an entertainer and my husband's employer. At present we are getting along fairly well (I think??!!) and I for one, don't want to rock the boat!!

Houndog, Christine may well know you are a lover not a fighter, not me!! You and I have had our share of arguments in the past. As I have continually said, I am not on this forum to get involved in arguments of ANY kind. I like to have open discussions, but I am steering clear of getting into arguments with ANYONE!!!

Mic Rophone: Don't keep digging up the past, what was said and done months ago (like last year!!) is past history, it is dead and buried as far as I am concerned. You can try goading me as much as you like, but if you keep bringing up the past, then I will just ignore it and you. If you want my help with any kind of admin work with the CareAoke side of things, then don't keep throwing the past back in my face, it won't get you anywhere.

Let's just get back to discussing karaoke and enjoying the shows that we go to. Kev, I hope that you will pay Mick and I a visit one Sunday at the Band Club, would love to meet you and talk to you in person.

Changing the subject completely here. I am going to open up for discussion the subject of what different people think makes a good panel operator? I will be interested to read comments from different karaoke owners/hosts as to what they think of the panel operators who work for them?? Houndog, this is NOT because of something that you said to me on the phone, I just want some general opinions. I have seen good panel operators and believe me, I have seen some absolutely lousy ones too. Come on everyone - without naming names - give me some feedback on panel operators. What do you think a panel operator should do? Should it be limited to sitting/standing just changing the discs or should he/she get more involved in the show?

Have a good night - what is left of it!!
