| From the Where2sing.com forum: i just read the feature story about karaoke judging and i did find it interesting, though i am not a comp chaser. i guess it was something i havent given a lot of thought to, so it was interesting from that perspecive.
i dont think there should be a national standard for judging, after all isnt karaoke about spontaneity and having fun? with too much criteria and too many 'standards' it becomes a talent quest, and thats not what karaoke is about. i realise there is great prize money, but it still should be about people enjoying themselves, getting the crowd going...like a big jam session!! Not for the professionals who should just go in the talent quests if thats their 'thing'
