| From the Where2sing.com forum: David...i never really go by what is written about any show or for that matter 'what people tell me , as i always seem to hear and feel and see things that others don't or maybe others don't really care or perhaps they don't have a total insight into all aspects of a show or maybe many people are easilly please anyway for what ever the reason, i go to places with a keen open mind and as i said the beehive wasn't really my cup of tea because its a small room and just about every time i went the place was jammed packed , to loud , people not interested in singers ( except for there own freinds / crowd ) ,way to much smoke , infact it made smokers understand what non smokers must put up with, very hard to have a conversation with anyone so you give up and just nod your head , so from a professional point of view it wasn't the best venue for a host to showcase there talent.......but what you say is correct , you can look at 20 ads for shows and they all are great night of fun / great sound / good lists / great equipment / experiance host and so on and so on nothing really takes your eye and this why with me the proof is in the pudding and the pudding better taste great as i know all the tricks to baking one heeehee..
