I've entered karoake comps before,and at one venue in particular , the judges basis for judging ,and the audience response seemed totally different.
First, I was not told just what criteria would be the most important,then the discrecency in the afrementioned responses.Eventually ,one of the judges told me if I want to get 'anywhere' I would need to have a musical instrument to accompany me!
So Kev,your approach is the one I feel is the fairest one of all.
