Now that the subject has moved to an appropiate place... consider the elements that go into a VCD or CDG. There are:
* The lyrics for each song - licensed from a songwriter(s)
* The score for each song - licensed from a composer(s)
* The arrangement for each song - performed by a session musician(s)
* The backing vocals for each song - performed by a backing artist(s)
* The visuals for each song - licensed from a video production house (VCD only)
* The track listing and packaging - licensed from a karaoke producer
* The physical media itself - purchased from a manufacturer at maybe $1 per item
* Packaging and postage - ???
Given there could be 10-15 songs per media how much should each contributer get from the sale of each CD? Consider then, how many they need to sell each week to maintain a living wage.
Are CDG / VCD's really as expensive as you think?
