The thing is with the elderly in the nursing homes here is that they are put to bed usually straight after their evening meal. Some who have televisions sit up in bed and watch them, but really they don't have much of an existence, they literally are in those homes waiting to die. I know that the home my mother was in frowned upon visitors after 6PM although official visiting time didn't end till 8PM.
If CareAoke does do anything for people in these kind of homes it would have to be done during the day, probably late morning I would imagine from what I remember of the activities (or lack of them) that went on in the nursing home that my mum was in.
I really don't know what CareAoke can do for them other than take them some music or someone singing to them. I really don't imagine that they would be into karaoke but I don't suppose it would hurt to enquire. One day we could be like these people and I know that I would like someone to come in and entertain for me. If the people knew something like that was going to happen, then it would give them something to look forward to, and believe me, they do need that!!
