| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi all, sorry been away for a bit. Very depressed about origin, and being called a southside boy. Shame My Angel Dave, I not a southside boy, I'm a westside girl wrong direction and gender. Having said that, we're gonna get em next time, they were just lucky.
And Rovic, as you are host, apparently successful, and I'm just a wannabe singer, I have to say I can't argue your point with you in a rational way. Hehehe, but can say pfffftt. I don't know enough about the 'karaoke websites' to make comments on them one way or another. So I did what any sensible young girl would do, I asked my Dad.
My Dad says that he would think the entertainment portion provided to a pub for once or twice a week for a few hours a night is small part of the overall business for the pub, perhaps bringing in a couple of grand gross, which with overheads and all wouldn't justify spending hours and hours looking through websites, regardless of how big and/or well informed they are. He reckons that they are more likely to respond to local reputation through word of mouth with peers and by the operators themselves.
Dunno myself for sure but I don't care as long as I have a place to go sing, hehehe. Cheers all and go the Mighty Maroons.
