Tom, bad singing and or mic technique have no relevance towards courtesy or being inconsiderate.
If what you say is relevant then one could seriously argue that because a singer sings 'Honey' by Bobby Goldsboro badly or too close to the mic that they are not being courteous to the younger people in the audience that prefer say “Wait and Bleed' by SlipKnot or “The Hands That Feed Me” by Nine Inch Nail even if it is shouted or screamed.
Tom I’m not trying to argue with you merely pointing out that I don’t believe mic techniques or bad singing constitutes a singer being disrespectful or inconsiderate, after all Karaoke is about people having fun and in the traditional Australian scheme of things 'Having a go'.
