From the Where2sing.com forum:

Roz If you look around at for than just the shows u go to lots still use cord mics and is some cases it is because they can be a better sound than some cordless models.
As you know the shows you go to do use cordless mics .George and Chris both use them as well as foster. These are the shows you normally go to.
Some cordless mics are cheaper to buy than the cord styles so it is not a matter of cost SOMETIMES it is a matter of other things as well.
As for Pete Graham I dont enjoy his style of hosting and have heard of things he has done in the past ,but others are charging smaller clubs more than he charges the Rooty hill.
The price someone charges for a gig is really up to how good you can sell your service no matter what mics you use.

Say over the last year all so and besides George ,Chris or fosters shows what other gigs have you been too?
As reading your post in here as well as your reveiws it would only seam to be that you would go to these 3 host shows and I wonder with the great industry knowleadge you have where you base your numbers when you say most of the other host use cordless mics.
